So I just calculated it- for a typical week, my hourly salary works out to be about $2.70- if I don’t work any extra hours.

Still, I’m spending a little more than half my paycheck on rent and utilities, and the rest goes to food and metro fare, so I think I’m close to breaking even on normal expenses. Museums and other things come out of the Prius, but most museums are around $5.

Then again, I’m not here to make a ton of money. I’m actually lucky to be making a living wage as an intern here.
